SHARON E. SECORD, Director of Costumes - Sharon joined Seamless Costumes in January 2001 bringing with her twenty-four years of varied experience in theatre and film. Spanning the last fourteen years Sharon has been the Head of Wardrobe at Shaw Festival, The Grand Theatre and Theatre Plus. She has coordinated over 100 productions including Cavalcade, Lady Windermere's Fan, Geometry in Venice and Le Bal. Sharon has also worked for the CBC, The National Ballet of Canada and the Canadian Opera Company. Her film credits include Beautiful Dreamers and the television series The Campbells. Whether the task is large or small she enjoys the challenge of realizing the designer's ideas to completion with the Seamless team.

KELLY SULLIVAN, General Manager - Kelly's career in theatrical costuming began in 1983 after graduating from theatre school. She has worked in many facets of the theatrical costume business and has been a theatrical wardrobe manager for the last 15 years. Her credits include productions of, Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ragtime, Show Boat and Fosse, as well as many projects in film, television and dance. Kelly is honored and thrilled to be with Seamless Costumes, an amazing company of artisans and craftspeople.

JASON BENDIG, Coordinator - Jason has pursued a career in costuming since 1992. His body of work encompasses Theatre, Ballet, Dance, Opera, Film, Television, The Circus Arts and Instruction. His variety of skills and education in design, management, tailoring, construction and the visual arts have kept him very active in the arts in Canada and internationally. Jason has been with Seamless since it first opened its doors in 1999 and is thrilled to work with some of the most highly skilled costume and craftspeople in North America.

NANCY GRANFIELD, Coordinator - Nancy has 25 years of experience as a coordinator and buyer for theatre and film. Besides coordinating the women's costumes for the Toronto productions of The Producers and Hairspray, she has worked on the Broadway and touring productions of Fosse, Ragtime, Showboat and Music of the Night; Toronto productions include Sunset Blvd and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Previous experience includes productions of Private Lives, and Showboat in London, England, and also Christmas Eve, Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute, The Mastersingers of Nuremberg and The Love of Three Oranges for The English National Opera. Film/TV experience includes the feature films Bollywood Hollywood, Hidden Agenda and the TV series Soul Food.

MELANIE HUSTON, Coordinator - Melanie has been working in theatre since graduating from a Fine Arts Administration program in 1975. She was the head of wardrobe at Tarragon Theatre for seven years, where she also designed costumes for several productions. Other credits include: 11 years as Assistant Costume Designer for Livent, Inc. on productions including Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Show Boat, Sunset Boulevard, Ragtime and Fosse. As Production Supervisor for Paragon Theme and Prop: puppets and masks for The Lion King in Toronto, Los Angeles, Germany, Australia and a U.S. Tour, as well as properties for Mamma Mia! (Broadway, Las Vegas and 2 U.S. Tours). She has also worked in television and film. Melanie is the Men's Costume Coordinator for the Toronto productions of The Producers and Hairspray.

CHRISTINE AUDET, Cutter/Draper - After graduating from George Brown College, Christine started her career in fashion, designing and manufacturing under her own label. She made the switch to theatre and film in 1988 and has worked as a cutter/draper for The Stratford Festival for 7 seasons and 5 years with Livent, Inc. She has worked with many wonderful designers including Santo Loquasto, Desmond Heeley, William Ivey Long and Anthony Powell. Christine joined Seamless Costumes in 1999 to build The Lion King and Mamma Mia and is delighted to be a part of this wonderful shop.

SYLVIA DEFEND, Cutter - Sylvia has worked professionally in Canadian theatre for 20 years in a variety of areas, such as Wardrobe Head, Dyer, buyer and designer. Her expertise lies in costume cutting and she has worked in this capacity with many large and small theatre organizations. Sylvia's numerous credits include 10 years on the faculty of York University teaching Costume Construction.

NANCY HAWKINS, Footwear Coordinator - Nancy has been lucky enough to work in the theatrical profession for longer than she cares to admit. After 16 years teaching technical costuming at the University of Alberta Drama Department, Nancy left the west to pursue theatre in Toronto. Before joining Seamless Costumes, she was Production Wardrobe Supervisor for Opera Atelier and toured North America as Wardrobe Supervisor for Show Boat and Ragtime (Livent, Inc). Nancy also travels with the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Tour.

ISABELLE KACZMAREK, Cutter - Isabelle has been cutting costumes for theatre, dance and film for 25 years. Prior to joining Seamless Costumes, at its inception in 1999, she cut costumes for both principal and ensemble actors for The Phantom of the Opera, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Show Boat, Ragtime and Fosse. She has also cut costumes for productions at the Shaw Festival, Stratford Festival, The National Ballet of Canada, as well as numerous films and modern dance companies.

SUSAN ROME, Buyer - Susan has worked in theatre for over 25 years. She started in front of the footlights as a modern dancer and later moved into costume design and administration. Her current role with Seamless Costumes as buyer, allows her to draw on her past experiences when scouting out production requirements.

MARVIN SCHLICHTING, Cutter/Tailor - Marvin has successfully pursued a career as a Cutter-tailor since 1977. His work is primarily for the theatre, but also encompasses Ballet, Dance, Opera, Film, Television and Instruction. His major involvements have been with the Stratford Festival Theatre (22 seasons), the Grand Theatre-London, ON (7 seasons), the Citadel Theatre-Edmonton, AB (5 seasons). His works have been seen on numerous stages in Canada including the Canadian Opera Co., The National Ballet of Canada, and the National Arts Centre. With his own company (formed in 1995) Marvin worked on several film, television and Broadway productions. His Broadway credits include Jekyll and Hyde and Dance of Death. He also designed and executed specific costumes for Mick Jagger's Bridges to Babylon Tour in 1998.

NICOLE VEZINA, Cutter/Tailor - Nicole has 25 years experience in costuming for major productions throughout North America. Adept at period and contemporary cutting, Nicole has realized costumes for ballet, modern dance, figure skating (including the Olympics), musical theatre, film and haute couture (the Erte Project). She is an accomplished theatrical tailor for men and women. Whether it is leather or sequins, body padding, jewelling or knotting, her strong creative team leaves no challenge unmet. Nicole has collaborated with world-renowned designers and artists such as: William Ivey Long, Santo Loquasto, Anthony Powell, John MacFarland, Mark Thompson, Suzy Benzinger, Maria Bjornson, Willa Kim.

MONICA VIANI, Milliner - Monica has been a professional theatrical milliner for a decade and joined Seamless Costumes in 1999. During her career, she has carefully crafted hats and headdresses for the Stratford Festival of Canada (5 seasons), The National Ballet of Canada, Livent Inc., and various operas and films. Her teaching credits include two sessions at Ryerson University and various private tutorials. Monica was a recipient of the Tyrone Guthrie Award from the Stratford Festival in 1998. She feels fortunate to have realized designs for many world-renowned designers including Desmond Heeley, Julie Taymor, Mark Thompson, William Ivey Long and Paul Huntley. Building hats and headdresses gives Monica and her team of milliners much personal pleasure. Extreme care ensures that each piece fulfills the requirements of a specific design, while implementing function, durability, balance and great fit. Wire frames and wig cages are a specialty.

LAURA COATS, Cutter/Draper - Laura is versatile in both women's and men's wear, including tailoring. She has achieved excellence in her sewing skills and specializes in period costumes. Her eye for costuming came at a very young age, making new wardrobes for her dolls as a child led her to over 17 years of professional theatre work. Ten of which were at the Stratford Festival. Since coming to Seamless Costumes in 1999, Laura has been expanding her experience as a Cutter and mastering her creativity in costuming. She is thankful for having been given the opportunity to work at Seamless Costumes with some of the most talented costumers in Canada.
